Non esiste saggezza e a di libro Gianrico Carofiglio Edito da Rizzoli nel 2010. A set of stories that leave from daily life, faces crossed, and that lead the reader on a journey to the end of the deepest emotions.

The stories of “Non esiste saggezza” have the daily reality for decor : They tell faces that emerge from the crowd of travellers in neutral transit zones. Most of the faces of women : with the latter, the voice of the Narrator is benevolent, fraternal and protective, as if he wanted to share the weight of painful secrets. Dans ce livre Carofiglio dote d'un nom les ombres et les peurs. Il en fait des compagnons de voyage, d'un voyage qui va jusqu ' aux confins des émotions les plus profondes et les plus sincères.

In this short novel, written a few years ago on the occasion of the festival of Maxentius, Gianrico Carofiglio tells of meeting that takes place in Amsterdam airport between an unusual policeman and a fugitive girl with a secret to hide; to draw attention to him on the beautiful unknown will be a book that she keeps in her womb and that he recognizes as a text by Anna Akhmatova that she read her mother many years before, they still remember a verse: “wisdom does not exist, There is no age, and maybe even death”.

The tales of “Non esiste saggezza” originate from the places of everyday life: are faces that emerge from the crowd of travelers, neutral transit areas. The male characters are looking for, to chase: an impression, a suspect, a curiosity that drives them beyond the limits of predictable, Sometimes the lawful. And the collection is completed with a genuine bildungsroman in miniature, set in metaphysical spaces of the Murgia.
